Social Security Benefits for Brain Cancer Patients

Over the summer, Ted was asked to prove to the powers that be that he was still eligible for social security benefits.  We had to submit an avalanche of paperwork to prove that even though he is a 7 year survivor of brain cancer, he should still  get the benefits he paid into his entire life.  The fact that he is blind in one eye and hearing impaired in both ears and he has no immune system may not be enough to keep his benefits. We still haven't heard the final results.

In the meantime, we received some information from a social security expert about advice for brain cancer patients trying to claim benefits.  This is a paid for service, and I don't endorse or advertise on this site, but I am going to post his article and let you decide for yourself.  There is good general information in his article.   Click here to read his article.

We didn't use his service and hope to get it resolved on our own, but you never know!
