A Whole Lotta Bull

Ran into some trail competition today.  We did a 4.5 mile walk near my parent's house on the Goldmine Trail.  My mother wrote the $300,000 grant for this trail and my father regularly maintains it with a group of volunteers every week from October to April.

Ted and I both got a bit overheated.  We are wimps when it comes to heat.  We started the hike at 10:00 a.m. and got back to my parent's house at noon, so it was a non-stop two hour hike in the desert.  While the temperatures were mild for my family's standards, the mid to upper 70s, the sun without shade or wind feels pretty intense to Northwestern's like us, but it was well worth it.
